Kyle Cooper



Kyle Cooper is a modern designer of motion picture title sequences and he studied graphic design at Yale university. He got his inspiration from Saul Bass, and follows in Saul Bass's foot prints. Kyle Cooper is an award winning, modern film maker who specialises in the production of opening titles.Kyle Cooper has directed over 150 film title sequences, and has been credited with "almost single-handedly revitalizing the main-title sequence as an art form . He wrote many films such as Spider Man, Sherlock Holmes, TRON, the lost world and one of his best the thriller se7en. Cooper worked at an advertising agency with offices in New York and Los Angeles. During this period, this is where he created the title sequence for the 1995 film Se7en.



Se7en is a psychological thriller film, which also contains horror elements that makes the film memorable. The director uses close up shots in the whole of the opening scene, this is not to reveal the person who is probabley going to have a signicant role to play in the film. By the director choosing to only focus on the shot close up only ever really reveling his hands give a sence of mystery, this intreges the ardiance to watch the film so they are able know and put the final peice to the puzzle in place. We arnt give much information about the man himself , the idea is implyed that he is studying somting we see this from him writing in down in book , developing photos . However we are givin the idea that he my als have some sort of evil or possibly mental mentalilty due to him taking skin from his own fingers, sticking hocks to a page and photo of people who aper to be dead with somthing pircing in the back of his head.the small amount we get to see of him we can tell his hands are dirty and so is the airea hes working in.the music being played is 




The film is about the se7en deadly sins gluttony, envy, lust, pride, sloth, greed and wrath. The titles and the directors names are always flashing on and quite jerky which keeps the audience interested and it could represent the characters life and what he is feeling like. The words are always moving which could also represent the movement of his life.
